VIP TREATMENT IN MARSEILLE

The destiny of this sumptuous 19th century building set in the heart of Marseille, changed in spring 2014. The C2 hotel, which bears the initials of its architects and founders Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefèvre, boasts on each landing armchairs by Rietvelt, Le Corbusier, Marcel Breuer, Wright or Mackintosh. Far from being found guilty of decorative overkill, the rooms solely celebrate uncluttered spaces, wood and white corian, brick walls, elaborate lighting installations, carpets and furniture designed by Patricia Urquiola, Arne Jacobsen and Ron Arad, just to name a few.

While the ground floor only has one room featuring a four-poster bed with liana posts by the Campana brothers under angels and birds painted on a panelled ceiling, the 4th floor unveils sunny balconies offering sweeping views of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, while the intermediate floors are flooded with natural light.
